 Description

This one’s a bit wild, but in the best way. The bee balm plant grows in clumps and sends up shaggy flowers that look like tiny fireworks. Hummingbirds fly right to them, and bees love crawling through the petals. It brings a lot of life to your garden.

Some people call it a bee bomb flower, and that makes sense. The flowers don’t just bloom — they bring in pollinators all day. It spreads slowly each year, but not too much. As long as it gets sun and a little water, it’s happy. You can plant it between other flowers or along the edge of a garden bed.

Wondering about bee balm plant size? Most grow around 2 to 4 feet tall. The stems are strong, so the plant stays upright. If you touch the leaves, they smell a bit like mint. It looks good with plants like echinacea or black-eyed Susan. Add a few of these, and your garden will stay full of bees and butterflies.
