 Description

We grow this one every year without even thinking about it. The pentas plant just gets it done. Full sun? It’s fine. Dry heat? Still blooming. It stays compact, doesn’t get scraggly, and butterflies absolutely swarm the flowers once they open.

You’ll see pentas flowers show up in front beds, near mailboxes, even in pots on hot patios. You don’t have to baby them. A little water here and there and they keep blooming all the way through summer and into fall. The flowers are small but grow in tight clusters, which makes them easy to spot from across the yard.

If you’re after something reliable and colorful, we usually have pentas for sale by spring. They sell fast because they’re easy and they look good. Whether you’re filling a gap in your border or starting from scratch, they’re a safe, solid pick. Just plant, step back, and let the bees do their thing.
